Robyn and Mark - Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Wedding Photographer

|
I remember meeting with Robyn and Mark last summer. They told me that they were going to have an outdoor winter wedding on top of a mountain at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, in Golden, B.C., and they were going to do a ski run in their wedding clothes. I was pretty excited by this because I love winter, skiing and weddings, so all three together....whoa!!! But, to be honest I didn't think it would happen. I thought I would get a call from them a month before the wedding telling me they had moved inside and ditched the skiing. Needless to say I didn't sleep much the night before the wedding day, I was too fired up.
A big thanks to Lisa Hanslip of The Wedding Planner for designing the beautiful reception venue and keeping everything on track. She was a real trooper for dealing with the snow and a tight schedule.
Thank you Robyn and Mark for letting me come to work in my ski boots.

Mark pulled off doing what most guys only dream of, marrying a Bond Girl. Dun-da-da-la-dun-dun. |
Guest arriving at the Eagle's Eye for the reception. |
You know you are Canadian if you have ever worn a toque to a wedding. |
My favourite from the day. |
The star of the whole day for me was Mark's Grandma. She is all kind of cute and smiley. Mark's dad came in a close second by wearing a Seahawks toque to his son's wedding ceremony. THAT IS AWESOME! |
I debated where to do the family photos, but I'm glad I decided on this set up. |
Their table numbers were the names of ski runs. These also became the trivia question for the kissing game. I grew up skiing the Kimberley Ski hill so it was nice to see "The North Bowl" made it onto a table. |
Their guest book was a pair of vintage skis. Their rings are on the ski binding. |
Who's your daddy? Well I guess that's probably a dumb question in this case. |
Robyn's sister's speech cracked a few in the room including Robyn's dad. |
