Yael and Scott

Emerald Lake was the location for Yael and Scott's wedding. These two must have used up all their good luck for the year as this was just about as perfect of a day as your going to see in the mountains for a wedding.

I started off my day by heading up to the cabin the guys were getting ready in. You know when you see this combo you're in for some laughs.

A peak at the bride through the window, with the lakes reflection in the window.

Scott wasn't planning on crying but I caught him here trying to hold back the leak.

The ring bearer.

Scott's dad.

A few candids after the ceremony.

The girls enjoying some of the guys drink.

The bartender mixed up the Emerald Lake colored shooter. It was actually pretty decent if you like mint.

Guests were treated to some really nice speeches and a great meal. Yael and Scott were able to sneak out for a few portraits before the dance. The lake looked amazing after sunset.

First dance.

Its always dangerous pointing a camera at a guy in a kilt (who doesn't wear them often), on a chair at lens height. I recommend an angle from the side.

It was a perfect night.

Sheri and Craig

To be honest, as I drove out to Banff on my way to Sheri and Craig's wedding, I was pretty sure that I was in for a tough day. I passed through three separate downpours and it looked like it was a pattern that was going to repeat all day. My forecast was actually pretty accurate, but these two seemed to have all the luck and somehow managed to have the sun shinning when they needed it and rain hitting when it didn't matter. All in all it was pretty much a perfect day.

We started off doing some portraits. Here's a really simple one of the wedding party. Not sure what I like about this so much, but it just seems relaxed and happy.

This was the scene at the start of the ceremony. The weather held, although the JP did talk pretty fast.

Sheri's mom

I didn't plan on this but once I put these two photos side by side I couldn't help thinking about how quick kids grow up. On the right is Sheri's brother and his daughter. Sheri's parents on the left.

I loved the take away center pieces.

Lots of cute kids at the reception.

Craig's brother in law delivered an unbelievable speech.

Parents of the bride.

First dance.
