It took its sweet time getting here, but in the end the spring color palate turned out pretty nice this year. Janessa and Shawn are having a mountain wedding this fall. Hopefully we'll find some more color then too.

Anh and Jimmy

This was a tough shoot to pick just "a few" from. Lots of variety, I left out some great images, but I guess those will be a fun surprise for these guys when they see their images.

Anh and Jimmy - getting married in 2010. That date still sounds totally sci-fi to me. I guess I'm morphing into a geezer.

I think Jimmy should make this one into one of those air freshner thingies you hang from your rear view mirror. HOT!

Nicole and Dennis - Calgary Wedding

I laughed so much at this wedding my stomach was sore the next day. These two have life figured out and celebrate it to the fullest. They definitely deserved the perfect day they had.

Kicking Horse Coffee

Kicking Horse Coffee is a well known brand in this part of the world, so I was really excited when they contacted me to create some new imagery for them. It was interesting to learn about all of the steps involved in getting coffee from a green bean to the cup. In addition to their roasting and bagging facility they added a cafe to the mix last June and it has become a favorite hang out for the locals. If you are driving through make sure you stop and check it out, it is right off the highway behind the Home Hardware (that's as classic as Kootenay directions get).

Here are some of my favourite images.

The photo gods were being cruel and arranged for a power outage right at dusk when we had planed to shoot, which meant an early start the next day for dawn. I like dusk a lot better than dawn.

The beans are bagged, boxed and then loaded up on palates for shipping.

hmm.... this is starting for feel like an episode of Seasame Street.

The fine folks at Driven Media are responsible for the very cool branding.

I never get tired of watching a shot of espresso being pulled. I wish they had a channel like the fire place channel they show at Christmas.

Cappuccino.

This is going to be the next rage for coffee. Yes, basically it's a coffee bong. Fun to watch, and a very smooth way of brewing the coffee. Not too sure about the blow torch though. I can see that being an issue for the average person at 6:00am (pre-caffeine).
